I went to Suseo Station on Saturday to purchase a train ticket for March 15 down to Daejeon. I knew the city was close, but I didn't realize it was as close as, if not closer than, Osan: Daejeon is less than an hour away by train, as you can see above.
Unfortunately, it's an ipseok ticket, which means I'll probably be standing the whole trip unless I'm lucky enough to find an unreserved seat that remains empty the whole trip (the SRT train makes several stops along the way).
I should have gotten a bus ticket: I would have at least had a guaranteed seat. But no matter: I'll be in Daejeon soon enough and ensconced in my motel with plenty of time to make up for whatever rest I don't get on the train.
